This policy explains how cancellations, refunds and problems with an order are handled when you order food or book a table with Spices and Stone.
Food is made fresh to order
Our dishes are prepared to your order and spoil quickly. Under Irish and EU consumer law, the usual 14-day right to cancel does not apply to food that is made to order or that spoils quickly. This does not affect your other rights, such as the right to a refund if something is wrong with your order.
Cancelling an order
Call us on +353 89 441 7414 as soon as you can.
- If we have not started preparing your order, we will cancel it and refund you in full.
- If we have already started cooking, we cannot cancel it, and it is not refundable unless it is wrong or unsafe (see below).
If something is wrong with your order
If an item is missing, wrong, damaged or not safe to eat, contact us the same day, or as soon as you notice, with your name, the order details and, if possible, a photo. We will, at your choice where possible:
- remake or replace the affected item, or
- refund the affected item, or the whole order if the whole order is affected.

How refunds are paid
- Refunds go back to the card or payment method you used. We cannot refund to a different card.
- Once we approve a refund, your bank usually shows it within 5 to 10 working days. How long it takes depends on your bank.
- Payments and refunds are handled securely by Stripe.
Table bookings
Booking a table is free. If your plans change, please tell us as soon as you can by phone or email so we can give the table to someone else. [Restaurant to confirm whether a cancellation notice period applies.]
Your legal rights
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under Irish consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2022.
